Decided to go with the bass for now. I've had it for probably two years. I traded in an acoustic guitar I had at guitar center. Probably wasn't a great trade since the acoustic was pretty decent. But I already have another acoustic guitar and and electric guitar. The effects pedal I got years ago. It's probably meant for a guitar, but seems to work fine and it allows me to plug in headphones so I don't have to worry about an amp for now. I found a bass guitar site that has lessons and seems like it has a lot of really good information for beginners like myself. The site is www.studybass.com I practiced for maybe an hour. Just rereading all of the beginner info. I'll set aside time everyday from here on out. Like I mentioned in my last post, I took piano for 4 years when I was younger, so I have a base to draw from. Makes it a lot easier I think that I don't have to wrap my head around a lot of the beginner concepts. Felt pretty good in my practice though. One of the things that would be ideal would be to find a teacher. Seeing as I'm moving pretty soon, that's not going to be possible for a while. C'est la vie.
